Collector replica wakizashi Odawara – AISI 1045 carbon steel, Yokote
Code: W-820

Product detailed description
Decorative replica of Odawara wakizashi made of AISI 1045 steel
The blade of this hand-forged replica wakizashi is made of proven carbon steel AISI 1045 . It was hand-polished with hazuyastone to achieve a high shine. The blade is equipped with a fuller Bo-hi, which emits a characteristic sound (tachi kaze) when the swing technique is performed correctly, and is decorated with a polished hamon imitation. The robust Full Tang construction (the blade runs through the entire handle) ensures maximum stability.
The tip of the blade (kissaki) is in the traditional chu-kissaki design with a real Diamond-Shaped Yokote. Due to its hardness of 48 HRC and the absence of partial hardening, this sword is primarily intended for practicing movement techniques, for collectors, or as a stylish decoration. It is not intended for cutting hard objects that could damage the edge.

The Koshirae finish stands out for its understated elegance. Saya (sheath) is made of hardwood in a matte black finish with a black silk wrap Sage-O. The handle (Tsuka) has a wooden core wrapped in genuine ray skin (Samegawa) with a black cotton wrap. The sword can be combined into a complete set (daishó) with the Odawara katana.
