Need advice on choosing an alternative? Call us at +420 601 390 216This katana is a masterpiece of blacksmithing, crafted from T-10 carbon steel (1.1% carbon). The blade is laminated in a Maru monocomposite configuration and undergoes differential hardening. The result is a blade hardness of 58 HRC, excelling in toughness and its ability to maintain precise sharpness. The blade surface has been hand-polished with a hazuya stone to achieve a mirror finish and highlight the unique hamon.
The sword's design is inspired by the dragonfly motif, which symbolizes courage and strength in Japanese culture. The Saya is treated with a luxurious Japanese metallic lacquer, while the handle (Tsuka) has a hardwood core, is covered with genuine stingray skin (Samegawa), and features an ITO leather wrap. This katana is fully disassembled, and all its components are individually fitted.

Thanks to the Full Tang construction (the blade runs through the entire handle) and securing with two bamboo pegs (mekugi), the sword is ready for demanding practice of cutting techniques tameshigiri on tatami or bamboo. The shinogi-zukuri geometry and the specially designed Sori (2.2 cm) curve allow for clean and smooth cuts.
