Product detailed description
Dragon Horimono Japanese Katana, Tamahagane Steel, Suguha Hamon
A masterpiece with hand engraving and traditional metallurgy
This collectible replica of a katana sword is equipped with a hand-forged blade made of TAMAHAGANE steel of the highest quality. The surface of the blade is polished in the traditional Japanese way using whetstones of various hardnesses and, in the final stage, polished with hazuya stone to achieve perfect geometry and clarity. The blade is adorned with Dragon Horimono – a hand-carved dragon motif symbolizing strength and wisdom. The distinctive real Suguha hamon is created using the traditional method of differential hardening, based on generations of experience passed down by master blacksmiths.

All accessories are hand-engraved, making this sword an exceptional piece for collectors and professionals. The blade in Shinogi-Zukuri profile with a Chu Kissaki tip and a real Yokote is constructed using the Full Tang method. The sori (curvature) geometry is optimized for study purposes and practicing tameshigiri techniques on straw mats.
