Product detailed description

High-quality Sutepuru tanto replica made of T-10 steel, osoraku-zukuri, real Choji hamon

The sharp tanto replica Sutepuru is a top-tier example of a Japanese dagger that historically complemented a samurai's armament (set daisho). The blade is forged from T-10 carbon steel in a monocomposite Maru configuration. Thanks to partial clay tempering, the edge achieves a hardness of 58 HRC and features a distinct real Choji hamon. An exceptional feature is the osoraku-zukuri geometry with an extremely long point (Kissaki 18 cm), designed for maximum penetration. The blade was hand-polished with a hazuya stone to achieve a mirror finish and razor sharpness.

Thanks to the presence of a bo-hi groove, the blade emits a characteristic sound (tachi kaze) when a properly executed cut is made, making this tanto replica an excellent tool for active martial arts training. The luxurious saya in black lacquer with a golden "bubble" pattern evokes traditional urushi art. The handle is wrapped in genuine stingray skin with black ito braiding and decorated with menuki with gold details.
