Ko-Ono Warikomi/Yaki-e Axe for Forest Work

Ko-Ono Tool represents a powerful helper primarily designed for forestry tasks, such as trimming branches or preparing firewood. Thanks to its balance and compact dimensions, it is a great outdoor companion for camping and more demanding carpentry projects.

The axe head is made using the traditional Warikomi method, where a hard cutting core made of 1045 carbon steel is forged into the body of tough steel. This "sandwich" construction ensures high blade stability and long service life. Each piece bears the mark of the traditional production certificate, established by the Japanese government. The head is decorated with traditional grooves – seven stripes symbolize sacred mountains and, according to legend, bring luck to the craftsman.

The handle made of charred white oak from northern Japan excels in its toughness. The burnishing surface treatment increases the handle's durability, protects it from dirt, and gives the tool a unique character.
