Product detailed description

Kawanishi Japanese Sword, T-10 Steel - Choji Hamon

Hand-forged blade made of the highest quality T-10 steel. The steel was laminated in a in monocomposite configuration Maru - differentially hardened. T-10 carbon steel (1.1% carbon and 0.4% manganese) is very strong and holds its edge exceptionally well. The production of this blade goes through 14 processes up to manual grinding - the surface of the blade is like a mirror. The blade was polished in the final stage with a hazuya stone - this achieves an almost razor-sharp edge (razor sharp).

Real Choji hamon is made according to ancient traditional methods, which are based on the many years of experience of the master blacksmith. This process creates a beautiful hamon Hada and M artensite (grains) on the blade. This is a top-quality replica of a samurai sword, suitable for cutting tests and can be disassembled. This blade has been tried and tested to remove everything that stands in its way! Sori (blade curvature) is specially designed to achieve the smoothest and cleanest cuts possible. All this combined with the selection of traditional Koshirae ensures that you get the best in terms of appearance and functionality. The T-10 multi-composite carbon steel has an impressive hardness in the HRC scale - the perfect combination of this hardness is underlined by the Sori curvature of the blade, which allows it to easily cut through tatami, straw mats, or bamboo for tameshigiri. The full tang construction of this katana insignificantly increases the strength of the sword. The tip of the blade is shaped shinogi-zukuri and shubo zukuri kissaki (pointed tip), which is very well defined by the hamon passing through the entire length of the Boshi.
