Product detailed description

Katana Ryuun (龍雲), Real Hitatsura Hamon

nagasa 2.77 Shaku, Chu Kissaki tip, Yokote

Precise replica of the Ryuun katana – the embodiment of strength, elegance and masterful craftsmanship. The blade made of exceptional S-7 Shock Steel combines modern metallurgy with deep respect for tradition. The name Ryuun (Dragon Cloud) combined with the symbolism of the tiger on the tsuba creates a harmonious whole representing vigilance and relentlessness. This replica is an expression of inner strength and respect for the historical legacy.

The blade was hand-forged from monocomposite S-7 Shock Steel, which is known for its extreme toughness and durability. Master swordsmiths hardened it into the shinogi-zukuri shape – a classic profile that provides ideal balance. The blade without a bo-hi groove was hand-polished with a hazuya stone to achieve a mirror shine and a precise edge.

The blade features a unique full-surface hamon Hitatsura. This demanding form of heat treatment covers almost the entire blade surface and creates a unique pattern demonstrating the different hardness and flexibility of the material with an overall value of 58 HRC.

The blade tip features a real Diamond-Shaped Yokote, which is very well defined by the fact that the hamon runs along its entire length through the Boshi. The distinct real Hitatsura Hamon is created according to ancient traditional methods based on the many years of experience of a master swordsmith.
