Product detailed description

Sakura Copper Katana (桜), Real Choji Hamon

nagasa 2.30 Shaku, Unokubi-Zukuri tip, Yokote

Precise replica of the Sakura Copper katana – combines master blacksmith craftsmanship with the elegance of copper fittings. The blade made of T-10 steel in a monocomposite Maru configuration symbolizes material purity and high functional durability. The sakura motif on the copper fittings refers to the transience and beauty of life, which is deeply rooted in samurai philosophy. This replica is an expression of aesthetic perfection and respect for tradition.

The blade was hand-forged from high-carbon T-10 steel and differentially hardened using clay. Master craftsmen shaped it into Kanmuro Otoshi (Unokubi-Zukuri) – a specific profile with two grooves bo-hi, providing ideal balance and a unique visual style. The slight curvature (sori) ensures a smooth cut, while hand polishing with hazuya stone delivers a mirror-like shine.

On the blade, a distinct real Choji hamon is visible, created using traditional methods. This harmonious temper line emphasizes the character of the blade as a uncompromising work of art with an edge hardness of 58 HRC.
