Red River Katana Replica represents a harmony between traditional metallurgy and understated elegance. The blade is hand-forged from premium high-carbon AISI 1075 steel, which has been folded 10 times in the manufacturing process to achieve 1024 layers. This process removes impurities from the material, creating a unique structure (Hada). The blade's surface is hand-polished with a hazuya stone to a mirror finish and extreme sharpness.

The distinctive real Choji hamon is created through traditional differential hardening. The shinogi-zukuri style blade with a shubo zukuri kissaki tip features a clearly defined Yokote, essential for structural integrity and vibration absorption during tatami cutting practice. The Full Tang construction ensures the blade runs through the entire handle and is securely fastened with two bamboo pins mekugi.

The handle (Tsuka) and scabbard (Saya) use genuine stingray leather (Samegawa), one of the most durable and aesthetically interesting materials in swordsmithing. The Saya is made of hardwood and its ends (Koiguchi and Kojiri) are crafted from real black buffalo horn. The brass habaki and cast tsuba with an oriental motif complete the authentic overall appearance of this collector's replica.
