steel SKD11
SKD10 and SKD11 are alloy tool steels that are ideal for cold working. It is a high carbon and chromium steel with good hardenability. It is characterized by low deformation during heat treatment, high hardness, high wear and impact resistance. It is equivalent to GB Cr12MoV, JIS SKD11, AISI/SAE D3, DIN 2X165CrMoV12, USA AISI D2. The surface of this steel can be precision ground. SKD11 is often used for press machine parts and moulds. Nowadays, it is also used in the cutlery industry due to its ideal properties.
