The AKUMA Katana replica stands out for its functionality and its calm, almost cold impression, which will appeal to every connoisseur of Japanese aesthetics. The blade is hand-forged from 11x folded high-carbon steel AISI 1075, creating a fine layered structure (Hada) of 2048 layers. The steel with a carbon content of 0.95% is differentially hardened and hand-polished with a hazuya stone, achieving exceptional sharpness and mirror finish.

The prominent real Choji hamon is created using traditional forging and hardening methods. The shinogi-zukuri blade type with a shubo zukuri kissaki tip is equipped with a clearly defined Yokote, ensuring the sword's stability and strength. The Full Tang construction (blade runs through the entire handle) is secured by two bamboo pegs mekugi, allowing for easy disassembly and maintenance.

The handle (Tsuka) features a hardwood core wrapped in genuine stingray skin (Samegawa) with a quality green wrap (Ito). The scabbard (Saya) is also made of hardwood and uniquely covered with stingray skin. The scabbard fittings (Koiguchi and Kojiri) are crafted from genuine black buffalo horn, enhancing the luxurious character of this replica.
