Hand-forged Shirasaya replica made of Oroshigane steel is a gem of Japanese swordsmithing. Oroshigane steel is valued for its purity and traditional processing method. The blade features partial hardening with a visible Hamon Choji line and achieves a hardness of 58 HRC. This model is designed in a minimalist "white scabbard" style, where the handle and scabbard form a single unit made of magnolia wood, which served to protect the blade during long-term storage.
The blade in Shinogi-Zukuri profile with a Ko Kissaki tip and a real Diamond-Shaped Yokote is constructed using the Full Tang method. The sori (curvature) geometry is optimized for study purposes and practicing tameshigiri techniques on straw mats. Magnolia wood was chosen for its excellent preservation properties and clean natural appearance.
