Product detailed description
Forged decorative katana Ibaraki from folded steel AISI 1045
A forged replica of the katana Japanese sword, Ibaraki, represents a harmony between traditional design and modern craftsmanship. The blade made of folded AISI 1045 carbon steel is adorned with a polished hamon imitation and a functional fuller Bo-Hi. This sharpened blade is designed as an artistic replica, finding its use as a luxurious decoration and a tool for active practice of martial arts forms. The Bo-Hi groove, with technically correct execution of a cut, creates an acoustic effect (tachi kaze), allowing for precise technique control. Due to its monocomposite construction, this model is not intended for cutting hard materials. A sharp blade, a black decorated saya, and a tsuka covered with genuine ray skin make the Ibaraki katana an exceptional collector's item.

The blade tip Chu-Kissaki is shaped in the shinogi-zukuri style with a defined Diamond-Shaped Yokote. This sword is stored in a cloth bag and a paper box. Dellinger recommends handling the sword as a traditional art object and adhering to safety principles.
