Forged replica of the Japanese sword katana Uruto with a blade made of folded (Damascus) AISI 1045 steel represents a perfect example of traditional design. Blade with polished imitation hardening line (hamon) and groove Bo-Hi is designed as an art object and training aid. The Bo-Hi groove, during a technically correct cut, creates a characteristic sound effect (tachi kaze), which helps verify the correct execution of the technique. Due to its monocomposite construction and lower hardness, this model is not intended for cutting hard materials.
