Decorative replica katana sword Tatsuta, folded steel AISI 1045, Bo-Hi

The forged Tatsuta sword with a blade made of folded AISI 1045 carbon steel represents a fusion of traditional aesthetics and quality craftsmanship. The blade, with its polished imitation temper line (hamon) and functional Bo-Hi groove, is designed as an artistic replica, but is also suitable for active practice of martial arts forms. The Bo-Hi groove, when executed with technically correct cuts, creates an acoustic effect (tachi kaze) that serves to verify the precision of the technique. Due to its monocomposite construction (hardness approx. 48 HRC), this model is not intended for cutting hard materials. Attractive black glossy decorated saya and tsuka wrapped in genuine stingray leather make this katana a unique collector's item.
