Thanks to the Maru monosteel configuration and traditional differential hardening, the blade achieves a hardness of 58 HRC, ensuring exceptional durability and the ability to maintain a precise edge. The blade is equipped with a Bo-hi groove, which optimizes the sword's balance. The final hand-polishing with a hazuya stone gives the surface a mirror-like shine and highlights the unique hamon.
All elements of this katana are individually crafted from premium materials. The striking real Choji Midare hamon is created during the hardening process and is a testament to the smith's mastery. The Koshirae includes a steel guard (tsuba) and a hardwood saya with an artistic dragon motif. The handle (Tsuka) is wrapped in genuine ray skin (Samegawa) with a black leather ito wrap for maximum authenticity.
The Full Tang construction with two bamboo pegs (mekugi) ensures the strength and stability of the entire sword. The shinogi-zukuri geometry and Sori (2.2 cm) curve are designed for smooth and precise cuts into tatami or straw mats.
