    Dellinger Hunter Poplar Burl Folding Knife – Tanto Style

    DELLINGER Hunter is an elegant folding knife for demanding users. The 90 mm blade features a top-tier cutting core made of VG-10 steel, sandwiched between 66 layers of 2 stainless Damascus steels. The steel achieves a high hardness of up to 61 HRC, it is exceptionally resistant to wear and corrosion, and maintains its sharpness for a long time. The blade is mounted on ball bearings for smooth opening and securely locked with a linerlock. For easy handling, the knife is equipped with a ambidextrous thumb stud. The handle is made of noble poplar wood, the massive bolster is made of stainless steel. The tool is delivered in a gift box made of bamboo wood. For comfortable carrying, we recommend purchasing a leather sheath here.

    Knife care rules

    • Never wash the knife in the dishwasher.
    • To maintain sharpness, wash the knife by hand and dry it immediately.
    • Do not use the knife as a lever and avoid twisting it.
    • Do not use the knife as a screwdriver or a substitute for workshop tools.
    • Protect the knife from falling onto hard surfaces or impact.

    Maintenance and sharpening

    For superior edge care, we recommend diamond and water sharpening stones. If you are unsure about the correct technique, we are happy to help – we offer professional individual sharpening as well as practical beginner sharpening courses. Remember that improper sharpening can permanently damage the blade.

    Knife cleaning and care:

    Particles trapped on the blade surface from the environment can oxidize and create small spots. This is not steel corrosion, but a reaction of impurities. For removal, we recommend using a fine paste of baking soda and water in combination with a cork stopper. After cleaning, it is advisable to treat the blade with mineral oil.
