The Bakin/Zenko tool represents the pinnacle in the field of precise carpentry work. It is designed for fine craft tasks and efficient processing of smaller wood. The head of the axe is created using the demanding Warikomi method – a hard core of 1045 carbon steelis forged into a split body of softer steel. This "sandwich" construction guarantees exceptional stability and long service life. The head bears traditional symbolic grooves (seven stripes), which, according to Japanese legends, represent sacred mountains and bring the craftsman good luck at work.
The handle made of white oak from northern Japan is highly wear-resistant. Surface treatment with clear varnish facilitates dirt removal and protects the wood in demanding conditions.
