The blade of this katana is crafted from high-quality T-10 steel with a 1.1% carbon content. The steel is laminated in a Maru monocomposite configuration and differentially hardened, giving it extreme strength and the ability to hold a razor-sharp edge for a long time. The production involves 14 demanding processes, including final hand polishing with a hazuya stone to achieve a mirror finish. The distinct real Choji hamon is created using a traditional hardening method under the supervision of a master blacksmith.
The Shirasaya set (in a bamboo design) was historically used for safe blade storage. Today, it is a sought-after piece for its clean aesthetics and functional perfection. This is now a sought-after item for its clean aesthetics and functional perfection.
The Full Tang construction and Sori (2.2 cm) curvature are optimized for the cleanest cuts. Thanks to its 58 HRC hardness, the sword can easily handle cutting through tatami, straw mats, and bamboo. The blade tip is shaped in the shinogi-zukuri style with a precisely defined Diamond-Shaped Yokote.
