This masterfully crafted wakizashi replica is forged from folded AISI 1075 steel. The blade has been folded 11 times, creating 2048 layers that ensure optimal flexibility and hardness (58-60 HRC). The visible steel grain (hada) is the result of a precise forging process. The blade is adorned with a hand-carved dragon engraving Horimono and an authentic line of differential hardening Choji Hamon. The final hand polishing with a hazuya stone gives the replica a mirror finish and razor sharpness.

The handle (Tsuka) with a wooden core is covered with genuine rayskin (Samegawa) and secured with a mekugi peg. The scabbard (Saya) is a unique work of art – it is covered with resin with crushed palm leaves, an ancient Japanese decoration method. The Koiguchi and Kojiri components are made of genuine buffalo horn. This wakizashi replica is fully functional and suitable for practical study of disciplines such as tameshigiri.
