Dellinger Husar – luxury sabre for sabre-fighting
The saber Dellinger Husar is an exclusive tool designed for traditional and effective opening of sparkling wine. It has a blunt, unsharpened blade made of J2 steel, which is key for the sabre technique. The luxurious polished brass handle gives the tool a historical look inspired by Napoleonic hussars.
This saber is used for so-called sabrage (sabrage). This method of opening bottles was popularized by Napoleon Bonaparte. For successful sabrage, the champagne must be chilled to 3–5 °C. After removing the wire cage and foil, strike with the saber along the seam of the bottle towards the neck. The impact of the blunt edge on the glass collar cleanly breaks off the neck and cork, creating an unforgettable experience for festive occasions.

Cleaning and maintenance:
After use, wipe the saber with a dry cloth. If champagne residue remains on the blade, wash it with lukewarm water, dry immediately, and optionally treat lightly with oil. The brass handle can be polished with standard products for colored metals to maintain its high shine.
