Dellinger Small Sword – sabrage sword for ceremonial occasions
The Dellinger Small Sword saber is a compact and lightweight tool designed for unconventional champagne bottle opening. The blade features a blunt, unsharpened edge made of J2 steel, ensuring a safe and clean cut of the bottle neck. The handle is crafted from Pakkawood – a highly durable wood impregnated with resin, which excellently resists moisture and gives the saber a luxurious appearance.
This method of opening bottles, known as sabrage, was popularized by Napoleon Bonaparte. For the best results, the champagne must be chilled to 3–5 °C. After removing the cage, strike with the saber along the bottle seam towards the neck ring. The force of the blunt blade's impact cleanly breaks off the neck along with the cork. An ideal accessory for weddings, parties, and celebratory occasions.

Saber cleaning:
After each celebration, wipe the saber with a damp cloth to remove any wine residue and dry it immediately. J2 steel is highly resistant, but for long life, we recommend storing it in a dry environment. If minor spots appear on the blade, they can be easily removed with a mild stainless steel cleaner.
