Product detailed description
High-quality artisanal Shinken Sharp Katana, AISI 1095 Steel, 2.5 Shaku Nagasa
The forged shinogi-zukuri type blade is crafted from premium AISI 1095 carbon steel of the highest quality. Steel in a Maru monocomposite configuration has undergone a process of traditional differential hardening, which ensures superior strength and edge retention. The blade with a Bo-Hi groove was hand-polished in the final stage with a hazuya stone, achieving a mirror finish and precise edge. The Sori (curvature) geometry is designed for maximum precision and cutting purity. The blade exhibits a high hardness of approx. 58 HRC, which, combined with the Sori curvature, allows for practicing tameshigiri on straw mats or bamboo. The Full Tang construction ensures high stability and durability of the entire unit.

Blade tip Chu-Kissaki with a pronounced Diamond Shaped Yokote is complemented by a real Choji Hamon, created by traditional master blacksmithing methods. The presence of the Bo-Hi groove allows, with technically correct movement, to hear a sound effect (tachi kaze - sword wind), which serves to verify the correct execution of the technique.
