Collector's replica of the Gunto sword with a real Midare hamon
Gunto is a high-quality replica of a historical tool with a blade made of AISI 1095 carbon steel. The blade, 70 cm long, is precisely crafted, partially hardened, and features a real Midare tempering line (hamon). The wooden core of the handle is covered with genuine stingray leather and finished with a brown silk wrap. The construction is secured by a bamboo peg, which allows for easy disassembly of the blades. On each side of the handle, under the wrap, there is a decorative ornament.
The scabbard (saya) is made of lacquered metal with detailed drawings. For comfortable carrying, the scabbard is equipped with a brass ring. The components Kashira, fuchi, tsuba, koiguchi, and kojiri are made of solid brass, as is the grooved Habaki.
