The blade was constructed in a Maru configuration and differentially hardened using the traditional clay-coating method. The result is a unique, real hamon pattern of Choji Midare, extending the full length up to the Boshi. The blade, without a fuller (bo-hi), was hand-polished with a hazuya stone to achieve a mirror finish and extreme sharpness.
The shinogi-zukuri style construction culminates in an extended O-Kissaki tip (4 cm). Genuine Diamond-Shaped Yokote enhances the tip's structural integrity and helps absorb shock. Thanks to the Full Tang construction and optimal curvature (Sori), this replica is perfectly balanced for smooth and precise cuts during tameshigiri practice on straw mats.
Exclusive Koshirae components:
Each element of this replica is individually crafted. The Saya is made of hardwood with premium black lacquer and decorative elements. The Tsuka (handle) is wrapped in select stingray skin (Samegawa) with a black and white silk braid. The guard (Tsuba) is made of steel in a durable finish.
