The GAN Katana Replica is a top-quality model, with attention paid to every detail. The T-10 steel blade is exceptionally strong and holds its edge exceptionally well (58 HRC) due to partial clay tempering. A characteristic feature is the real Choji hamon and a tip with a clearly defined Yokote, which helps absorb shocks and ensures the structural integrity of the tip during cutting practice. This fully functional replica samurai sword is suitable for cutting tests on tatami or bamboo and can be completely disassembled.

The blade was hand-forged in a Maru monocomposite configuration. The final stage of production includes 14 hand-grinding processes, which give the blade a razor-sharp edge. The Shinogi-Zukuri profile with a BO-HI groove reduces the blade's weight and provides a characteristic whistling sound during swings, which is highly valued in technique training.

The Full Tang construction ensures maximum stability. The handle (Tsuka) is made of a wooden core coated with genuine ray skin (Samegawa) and fitted with a high-quality black silk wrap. The overall impression is complemented by a Saya sheath made of hardwood with a Japanese matte black lacquer.

Safe handling and maintenance
