The T-10 steel blade undergoes a traditional clay tempering process, achieving a hardness of 58 HRC. This fully functional replica is designed with structural integrity in mind – the ko kissaki tip features a genuine Diamond-Shaped Yokote, which helps absorb shock and ensures stability during seki-ryu practice.
The blade was hand-forged and subsequently polished with a hazuya stone to achieve a mirror finish and highlight the depth of the real Choji hamon. The absence of a bo-hi groove gives the blade the necessary momentum, while the specially designed Sori (2.2 cm) curvature guarantees clean and precise cuts into tatami or bamboo mats.
The Full Tang construction ensures maximum strength of the entire piece. The handle (Tsuka) consists of a wooden core covered with genuine ray skin (Samegawa) with black wrapping made of real Japanese silk Ito. Every detail, including the forged carbon steel tsuba, was chosen to create a harmonious whole with high artistic value.
