Product detailed description

Handcrafted Katana Sword Replica Akunohana, AISI 1045, Meadow Motif

The forged Akunohana sword made of AISI 1045 carbon steel is a harmonious blend of functionality and Japanese aesthetics. The name Akunohana refers to the delicacy and beauty of nature, captured in the hand-engraved meadow motif on the black glossy saya (scabbard). This katana replica features a Full Tang construction, meaning the blade runs through the entire handle and is securely fastened with a bamboo peg (mekugi). This makes the sword suitable not only as a luxurious decoration but also for active practice of martial arts techniques (kata).

The blade tip is precisely shaped in the Chu-Kissaki style with a genuine Diamond-Shaped Yokote. The blade, with a hardness of 48 HRC, is sharpened for an authentic feel. However, due to the absence of differential hardening, it is not intended for cutting hard materials (such as wood or thick bamboo) to avoid damaging the edge. The package includes a protective cloth bag and a transport box.
