The HOSHI katana replica is the result of precise handcrafting that honors centuries-old traditions of Japanese masters. The blade is hand-forged from T-10 high-carbon steel (1.1% carbon content), which excels in toughness and stability. Thanks to the Maru monocomposite configuration and differential hardening using clay, a unique, real Choji hamon has been created on the blade.
The blade is equipped with a bo-hi groove, which reduces weight and improves acoustic response during technique practice. The surface has been hand-polished with a hazuya stone to achieve a high gloss and reveal the steel's structure. Full Tang construction ensures that the blade runs through the entire length of the handle, guaranteeing maximum strength for this collector's replica.
The blade geometry in the shinogi-zukuri style with a 2.2 cm Sori curve is designed for clean and fluid movement. The brass Habaki ensures a precise fit in the saya and protects the blade from vibrations.
