For the superior properties of the VG-10 blade, we recommend diamond and water sharpening stones. If you are not confident about sharpening Damascus steel, contact us – we will sharpen the knife for you professionally or teach you in our knife sharpening course. Proper sharpening is key to safe and easy work with game.
Care for stainless damascus and ebony:
VG-10 steel is highly resistant, but aggressive juices in hunting practice can create stains on the surface. Always clean the knife after use. We recommend occasionally wiping the ebony wood with natural oil (e.g., linseed oil) to maintain its depth and prevent cracking. Stains on the blade can be removed with a paste of baking soda and a piece of cork.|
