Product detailed description
Collector's katana Hanazuke, folded steel AISI 1075
The forged Hanazuke sword is an aesthetically striking replica designed for enthusiasts of Japanese history and martial arts students. The blade is made of folded AISI 1075 carbon steel, which creates a unique pattern on the surface due to layering. To enhance dynamics during practice, the blade is equipped with a Bo-Hi fuller, which optimizes the sword's balance. The edge surface is adorned with a polished imitation of a tempering line (hamon), complementing the traditional Chu-kissaki tip with a Diamond Shaped Yokote.

The Hanazuke katana is primarily designed as a decorative item or a tool for practicing martial arts techniques (kata). As the blade is not partially hardened, it has a uniform hardness of 52 HRC, which is not suitable for cutting hard materials that could damage the edge. The sword impresses with its dark blue scabbard (saya) in a glossy finish and a handle covered with real rayskin. A protective cloth bag is included in the delivery.
