Product detailed description
Collector's Jū-dachi Katana, AISI 1045 Steel, 2.30 Shaku Blade Length
Forged sharp Jū-dachi sword represents an elegant choice for aspiring enthusiasts and collectors. The blade made of AISI 1045 carbon steel is equipped with a Bo-Hi groove, which is key for training purity of movement – with a technically correct swing, the blade "whistles" (tachi kaze), allowing immediate control of the correct cutting angle. The blade surface is decorated with a precisely polished simulated temper line (hamon) and a classic Chu-kissaki point with a Diamond-Shaped Yokote.

Thanks to its construction and balance, the Jū-dachi sword finds application as a luxurious interior decoration or as an aid for practicing Japanese martial arts forms. Due to its hardness of 48 HRC, this model is not suitable for cutting hard materials that could damage the edge. The sword will visually appeal with its combination of a black glossy scabbard with burgundy accents and a handle with genuine stingray leather. A fabric bag is included in the package.
