This knife has a very sharp cutting core made of japanese steel vg-10which is sandwiched between 66 layers of 2 SS316 Damascene stainless steels (damascus steel), which provide exceptional durability and toughness. The blade of this knife undergoes hardening in very precise vacuum heat treatment furnaces. Each knife is hand-ground and at a hardness of around 61 HRC achieves exceptional to extreme sharpness. Everything about this knife is well thought out and perfectly executed.
