Replica wakizashi Shirasaya KUMO is designed for connoisseurs who appreciate the traditional Japanese way of storing swords. Shirasaya ("white scabbard") historically served for the careful storage of the blade during peacetime, when magnolia wood optimally protected the steel from moisture and corrosion. This fully functional replica combines the discreet appearance of a wooden stick with the uncompromising performance of a top-tier blade, tested and proven for precise tameshigiri technique practice.

The blade is hand-forged in a Maru monocomposite configuration from select T-10 steel. Thanks to partial hardening (differential tempering), the edge achieves a hardness of 58 HRC, while the core remains flexible. The blade's surface has undergone a demanding polishing process with hazuya stones, achieving a razor-sharp edge and a mirror finish, highlighting the real Choji hamon.

The construction is Full Tang, which significantly increases the strength and stability of the entire piece. The blade in Shinogi-Zukuri profile features an ideal curvature (Sori 2.2 cm) for clean and smooth cuts into tameshigiri mats or bamboo.
