.
Hand forged Tanto ENOKI BLACK in 1095 steel and real hamon from Kawashima. Tsuka covered with genuine stingray skin, blade hardened by traditional clay hamon method. The tanto is supplied in a decorated canvas bag in a wooden gift box which includes a simple, matt, black stand with one groove and a polishing kit.
Hand forged bladel made of AISI 1095 steel of the highest quality. The steel was laminated in the Marumonocomposite configuration - differentially hardened. The AISI 1095 carbon steel (0.95% carbon and 0.4% manganese content) is very strong and holds its sharpness very well. The production of this blade goes through 14 processes up to hand sharpening- the surface of the blade is like a mirror. The blade has been polished with hazuya stone in the final stage - this achieves an almost razor sharp edge.
.
The real Choji hamon is created according to ancient traditional methods based on many years of experience of master blacksmiths. This process produces a beautiful hamon of Snake andMartensite (grain) on the blade. This is a high-end replica of a samurai sword that is suitable for sake trials and can be disassembled. This blade has been tried and tested to remove everything in its path ! The Sori (curvature of the blade) allows you to carry out the chopping to achieve the finest and cleanest cuts possible. All this combined with the choice of a traditional Koshirae ensures that you get the best in terms of appearance and functionality. Themonocomposite AISI 1095 carbon steel has an impressive hardness in the HRC range - the perfect combination of this hardness is accentuated by the curvature of the Sori blade, which makes it easy to cut through tatami, straw mats, or bamboo for tameshigiri. The full tang construction of this katanagreatly increases the sword's power. The tip of the blade is shaped shinogi-zukuri and shubo zukuri kissaki (pointed tip), which is very well defined by the hamon running the full length through the boshi.
