Product detailed description
Handcrafted Training Katana Kohaku, AISI 1095 Steel, Nagasa 2.30 Shaku
The forged blade of shinogi-zukuri type is crafted from premium AISI 1095 carbon steel. This steel has undergone a traditional differential hardening process, ensuring high structural integrity and the ability to maintain a precise edge. The blade has been hand-finished to achieve top-tier sporting performance and collector's aesthetics. The Sori (curvature) geometry is designed for the cleanest cuts during sport use. The blade exhibits high hardness of approx. 58 HRC, allowing for effective practice of tameshigiri on straw mats or bamboo. The Full Tang construction ensures high stability of the entire sword.

The tip of the blade, type Chu-Kissaki, with a perfectly defined Diamond-Shaped Yokote, is complemented by a real Choji Hamon, created by traditional master blacksmith methods. This model is an ideal choice for advanced martial arts practice (Iaido, Kenjutsu) as well as a valuable collector's item. The sword is delivered in a protective cloth bag.
