Hand forged wakizashi Kyūbu in AISI 1095 carbon steel from Kawashima and real hamon. A fully functional and affordable katana, a sharp blade with a groove (Bo-hi), a very interesting tsuba, a distinctive handle ending (Kashira) and a saya with Kojiri, Kurigata and Koigushi in black make this sword a very attractive weapon. Hand forged blade made of AISI 1095 steel of the highest quality. The steel was laminated in the Marumonocomposite configuration - differentially hardened. The AISI 1095 carbon steel (0.95% carbon and 0.4% manganese) is very strong and holds its sharpness very well. The production of this blade goes through 14 processes up to hand sharpening- the surface of the blade is like a mirror. The blade has been polished with hazuya stone in the final stage - this achieves an almost razor sharp edge.

The real Choji hamon is created according to ancient traditional methods based on many years of experience of master blacksmiths. This process produces a beautiful hamon of Snake andMartensite (grain) on the blade. This is a high-end replica of a samurai sword that is suitable for sake trials and can be disassembled. Tsuka: (handle) wooden core wrapped with stingray(Samegawa) skin with black braid - Ito . The wakizashi blade is secured with two mekugi (pins). You can remove the blade from the handle by pulling out these pins. There is a menuki (ornament) on each side of the Tsuka.

Saya: (shell - wrapper) made of hardwood on which a layer of shell shavings and binder was applied, then sanded and left in a matte finish. High quality silk braid Sage-O is tied around the Kurigata (knob) of the sheath.
