Product detailed description

Tengu Katana (天狗), Real Suguha Hamon

nagasa 2.31 Shaku, medium chu kissaki tip, Yokote

Precise replica of the Tengu katana with Fudó Myó-ó horimono – The Horimono with the Fudó Myó-ó motif on the tamahagane steel blade combines masterful blacksmithing with deep symbolism. Fudó, the "Immovable One," represents strength, discipline, and protection, while tamahagane – traditional Japanese steel smelted in a tatara furnace – symbolizes purity and material perfection. The flames surrounding the figural form refer to the hardening process and spiritual transformation. This replica is an expression of honor, inner strength, and respect for tradition.

The blade was hand-forged from real Japanese Tamahagane steel, smelted in a tatara furnace according to an ancient process. The master smiths repeatedly forged and quenched it into the shinogi-zukuri (鎬造り) shape – a classic profile with a distinct shinogi ridge, offering an ideal balance between strength and functional perfection. The gentle curve of the sori ensures a smooth cut, while the chū-kissaki tip adds aesthetic nobility.

The blade subtly reflects a straight hamon suguha, a symbol of tranquility and purity of spirit. This harmonious hardening line perfectly complements the balanced shinogi-zukuri shape, underscoring the sword's character – a discreet yet uncompromising work of art.
