    1.10 Shaku, Osoraku Zukuri

    Forged blade made of the highest quality T-10 steel. Steel in Maru monocomposite configuration - differentially hardened. Carbon steel T-10 is very strong and holds its edge very well. The blade with short bo-hi groove was hand polished in the final stage with a hazuya stone - thus achieving an almost razor-sharp edge and a mirror-like shine. This blade has been tried and tested to remove everything in its path ! Sori (blade curvature) is specially designed to achieve the finest and cleanest cuts possible. The T-10 carbon steel has an impressive hardness in the HRC range - the perfect combination of this hardness is emphasized by the curvature of the Sori blade , which makes it easy to cut through tatami, straw mats, or bamboo for tameshigiri. The full tang construction of this blade greatly increases the strength of the knife.

    Tanto 短刀 is a Japanese knife that was carried by a samurai together with wakizashi a katana in what's known as a daishō set. The length of the blade should not exceed 30.3 cm. Knife tanto bwas designed to penetrate armor and protection of all kinds. The tanto blade is similar to the style of Japanese long (katana) and short (wakizashi) swords. The Tanto knife has a high blade with a flat grind, resulting in extremely strong penetration, making it ideal for stabbing into hard materials. The distinctive real Choji Hamon is created according to ancient traditional methods based on the master blacksmith's many years of experience.

    The grooved blade design is ideal for training the cleanness of the cut, because thanks to the bo-hi groove, the blade "whistles"(tachi kaze - "wind of the sword") during a technically well-executed stroke, so that it is possible to verify the correct execution of the technique.
