In everyday life, there are many situations when you have to do without a knife - either because of restrictions or simply because you have nowhere to hide it. The solution to this problem is a miniature blade from WE Knife, which looks like a modern jewel. But appearances are deceiving - the titanium case with Kevlar faceplate and stylised WE logo hides an 18 mm long razor blade made of Böhler M390 high-speed steel. The one-sided blade with a width of less than a millimetre is similar in size to classic working paring knives ("carpet knives"), but much harder (58-60 HRC), so it holds the blade better. The front part of the blade has also been given a facet with a deeper recess and therefore penetrates harder material more easily. But this advantage applies to the entire knife, whose body is just a millimetre wide at its widest point. But the most interesting is the barrel with a diameter of a common five-crown (24 mm) and a width of less than 7 mm - it has protruding edges to prevent slipping, and it is composed of two parts, connected by a safety star TORX screw. The material used is the same as for the box: the titanium alloy 6AL-4V, originally developed for the aerospace industry, combines strength with corrosion resistance and low weight.
During testing, the WE swung around my neck on an attached steel chain, typical of American identification badges or "dog tags". You will get used to it quickly, but you will know that the weight of the knife is less than 20g. You can have it hanging either by the holster or directly by the holster (see graphic).
